Hi WUOC Candidates!
The 2022 WUOC event is scheduled for August 15-22 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. I realize that it's a ways off but I need to start to make arrangements now. I have attached bulletin 1 that can answer most of your questions but the main criteria for eligibility is this:
• Athletes must be a citizen of the country they represent;
•Athletes must be at least 18 and less than 25 years of age on January 1st in the year of the event; for 2022, athletes must be born between the 01/01/1997 and the 31/12/2004;
• Athletes must be students who are currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at a university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country;
• Athletes may be former students of the institutions mentioned above, who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event.
If you are interested in going you should let me know as soon as you have checked your calendar! The team selection will take place in the spring, probably at one of the NRE events as well as by petition. Performance at past events and rankings as well as the trials will be considered.

A reminder that the WUOC petition is due on March 17th. Thanks to those who have already sent theirs in. If you still need to do a qualifying race that is ok...we will still look at all results before making a final decision. Please make sure that you send in the petition before March 17.
