Gil:
2008 Sprint Series Standings as of 2/19/2008 have been published on http://sprintseries.org.
When submitting results please include gender for each of the participants. It's easy to guess gender for participant names "John", "Jim", "Robert", "Anna", "Susan" and such however names "Tracy", "Chris" could be male or female.
Having said that - please check current standings, Email me at USSprintSeries2008@gmail.com and let me know if I assigned incorrect gender to any of the participants.

Gil:
Tucson Orienteering Club's 'Davos in the Desert Sprint' is excluded from standings calculations. Reason for excluding this race was because it was Sprint Score-O course. Interesting concept to mix things up in my opinion. However decision was made to consider only "classic" Sprint Orienteering Courses for standings.

Many thanks to Gil for being the supreme number cruncher this year. Without him (and Kris and Cristina), we wouldn't have a sprint series.
I thought you might be interested in knowing a little more about Gil, so I asked him for some background info and he sent along the following --
O' Biography of Gil
Full name: Egils Robs

Date of birth: 04/09/1970
Place of birth: Saldus, Latvia
Current Residence: Rochester, NY (since 1996)
Occupation: Project Lead/Computer programming
Height: 6'3"
Current weight: 200
Orienteer since: 1983
Retired from orienteering (temporary) in 1990
Came back from O-retirement in 1997 (after moving to Rochester, NY)
Notable Orienteering achievements:
- member of Latvian National team
- member of U.S.S.R National team participating in JWOC in 1987
Notable non-orienteering success:
- Track and Field Latvian National Junior Champ in 3000M (8:54);
- Fastest trail half marathon time - 1:18:00 (in 1990 and weight of 165#)
Other athletic hobbies:
- basketball (love playing any position but center);
- running - recent accomplishment - completed 2007 Bull Run Run 50 mile trail run
