I was just looking at the model map and the details for the event.

I just wanted to express how grateful and excited I am for this event. Many thanks to everyone working hard to put on this and especially for the extra effort of putting on a WRE with a new map.

This will be a fun weekend.

Oops, meant to put this on the forest race page, but this one will work!

Weather forecast for Sunday predicts brutal conditions with cold rain changing to snow. Close to extreme level of misery for WRE long course runners. We still remember a recent debacle at marathon in China

National Weather Service isn't so pessimistic.

Sounds like you don't have much experience with poor conditions, Yurets!

I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for the heads-up, yurets. A couple of weather models are forecasting a tough Sunday. Others, not so much. We will definitely keep an eye on it.

From my one experience of it (2008, steady rain, upper 30s), cold and wet conditions are not unprecedented at this event.

The Model Event controls have been placed and the course is available to those who print their own maps. The scale bar shown is for the 1:10,000 scale. If you print it, remember to turn off "Fit to page". Download Map. The borrow maps will be placed in a box at the start as soon as they arrive on Thursday, as early in the day as possible.
