Time matches to within less than 1%, distance to a hair over 1%, climb to within 14%, on comparable bikes, I think.

I'd seen your ride and thought, maybe about like what I did, but my brain doesn't do the kilometer pace to mile pace conversion easily. So I actually checked, hmm, really close to what I did. So perhaps a second coincidence, that we both checked? :-)

Question on how AP calculates the climb. For me, it uses the number you get if you select auto splits with climbs of 10 meters or more. With you it seems to use the number you get if you select auto splits with climbs of 5 meters or more (usually a bigger number). I think your way is more accurate. I'm wondering what you might have done in settings to get it to do that.

I noticed that the times were very close, and that made me wonder about the speed, so I used either 0.6 or 5/8 in my head to convert one of them, and that seemed close enough to be worth investigating, so I did a proper conversion using computer power. And then 3 to convert feet to meters and again saw that it was worth looking into.

I don't remember having done anything specific to change the way climb is calculated, but there are two things I can think of that might make a difference. One is that my log is set to use metric units by default. The other is that my watch has a barometric altimeter, and I have the setting to be that AP automatically chooses how to calculate climb, so that might affect things as well. I didn't see any other settings that specifically relate to that, but I could have missed something.
