Wyatt:
In planning my (and other's) training for Team Trials 2004, my presumption is that you are going to have to be pretty fast (by US standards) to have a decent shot. Especially given the Wyoming TT venue.

So, who's planning to run for the US at WOC 2004 if they make it?

My current 'most likely' guess at team composition is:
Brian May
Eric Bone (although I though I heard once he may not go?)
James Scarborough
Mikell Platt (more interested in attending WOC than he has been in a decade)

-- And then there are many others with a very good shot -- are you all planning to try for WOC '04? --
Dan Stoll-Hadayia
Mihai Veres
John Frederickson (will you try for WOC?)
Ross Smith (will you try for WOC?)
Eddie Bergeron
Syd Reader
Boris Gr.

I'd put myself on a third tier for now, along with many other long-shot hopefuls (perhaps including Nadim on others who are fast in Wyoming...)

-- Note: --
Sergei Zhyk could certainly be fast enough, but his citizenship/eligibilty, while in progress, isn't certain enough for me to list him just yet.

-> People on this list: Are you planning to try for WOC '04 or not?
-> Who did I leave off?

Nope. I plan on being out of the country. Oh and Boris is slacking off, so you can forget about him. He is too old and fat now.

I am too old and fat now. Time for our young and humble orienteers to take over.

Neil, the Americans don't want me. Can i run with you Irish? My fatness and oldness will fit right in. :)

I am warming up some to the idea of WOC '04, but I still put my chances of going at only 30%. It depends on:
1. Fitness/health this summer
2. Motivation
3. (last but not least) Money, which I may have enough of if...
+ My O-business really takes off this year
+ I get enough sponsorship/support
+ I win lots of prize money adventure racing

Hmm, none of those are likely to happen to a great enough extent that I will be comfortable going.
