Are there any recent issues with the calculator appearing? In particular, we can't get the calculator to appear for this log entry

think you need to specify climb, even if 0.
if that doesn't cure it, then the name of the type of session might need to be 'Running'

Thanks for the suggestions Andrew. I raced five different 10k events today and the vdot calculator did not kick in. However, in my one real 10k on Sunday, the calculator started as it usually does.

That climb issue is no longer a problem. In this case it is because we only show the value when it falls between 30 and 86 (that one would be 26.3). These are the limits of Daniels' published tables, and while the calculator formula certainly works outside of that range, there is less guarantee of significance.

Also, because we need to guess a little bit when determining activity types based on their names, we assume that outlying scores are likely not running.
