Great job, Corinne! Congratulations! I've been really impressed by both the volume of your training and the fact that you've been able to do it alone. Not too many people can motivate themselves to that extent.

Thanks for the deatiled write-up; it's always fun to read of folk's adventures. Congratulations on a good race - and glad to hear that, so far, post-race, you're doing fine.

Way to go! I ran the MCM in 1995 and reading your log, I really remember some of the pain of about mile 20 onwards. I think I ran the last 2 miles in on pride alone, since I was wearing my cadet uniform and didn't want to be seen walking in it. Of course, the fact that the longest I'd run to prepare was about out to Buckner and back (14 miles?) probably didn't help, either. Great job, though - both on the marathon and the discipline to train up for in on your own. Not an easy thing to do!

Thanks all! Its nice to know that there are people who care/ actually read my training log...although I would contend I've been rather laxed in my training discipline lately. I needed to taper for the marathon, of course, but my overall enthusiasm to get out and just run has been rather low over the last couple months. I have a feeling its going to be a tough winter as far as motivation is concerned...

Congratulations indeed! That is a fine performance and it can be a great jumping off point for the winter. You have gotten this far and now the wind is at your back to continue building on things. Way to go!

Angelica & I checked your log Sunday night after the long drive home. You apparently have many fans out here :)

Are you Stumbling? Angelica's doing the 1st half, at least. Maybe the whole thing, TBD.

yeah i'm doing the Stumble. I think i'll be recovered enough by then, but i can't say that i'll be all that fast. If I run the whole thing do you think that might sway Angelica to do the whole thing too?

I hope you do not mind, but I shared your log with one of Nikki's teachers. She also ran the marathon, it was her very first.

I don't mind at all. I hope Nikki's teacher had a good race. Its a great accomplishment completing your first marathon.
