The current weight training discussion prompts me to ask if anyone else has seen the book "Conditioning for Outdoor Fitness" by David Musnick and Mark Pierce published in 2004. It describes training techniques for many sports such as cross-country skiing, backpacking, running, and canoeing, though orienteering is not one of them. There are MANY different weight exercises and stretches designed to foster balance and agility as well as pure strength, with discussion of which are best for which sport. Does anyone have the knowledge to select exercises from this book that are specific for orienteering, i.e. add orienteering to Table 1-A?
