AW is murder. After the 30th run up to the tunnel of terror entrance (which, of course, WOULD be the highest point in the park) you're generally ready to die.

Damn I was thinking of taking a day off and going there sometime this summer. We all took a day off for my sister's birthday a few years back to do just that. It's Feb 5. Maybe I can convince her to do it again this year.

Take a fat kid with you. The twin-tube slides are WAY more fun when you exceed the combined weight limit by 30kg. :)

tRicky may need to take several fat kids with him to exceed the combined weight limit.

A day at adventure world is definitely worth a day off. I'm thinking of going agian in Feb. when all the school kiddies have gone back and I don't have to line up for hours. I hadn't been since.....hmmm....1997, so I was excited to see all the new waterslides and rides and such.

A friend of mine works for the car mob AHG - every year they book out the park for their christmas party, and we go along pretending to be "family" since his family isn't interested. Means there's <1000 people in the park and bugger all lines. And best of all (looking at the board at the entrance), free entry.

We generally terrorise the water slides for three hours non-stop, see if we can get kicked off for refusing to "sit on the ledge, then lean forward slowly when the green light goes" or forming chains in the tube run, then go home with our legs burning from climbing stairs.

The big 6-lane slide next to the old speed slides...I swear they've slowed it down somehow. First year it was there you could get ridiculous amounts of air off the last hump, now it's kinda....meh.

Yeah, I was remembering the good ol' days too when a bunch of us would all skip uni for the day late in February and by the sounds of it, get up to the same kind of water-slide terrorising. One year, they only let 48 people through the gate and 12 of them were in our group. Now, that makes the $45 entry definitely worth it!
