... sounds like an interesting adventure - could you tell us a bit about what you're planning to do?

Not much to tell. I'm going to do something I've dreamed of doing ever since they realigned the track and built all the huts.....run the whole thing solo. Well, it'll be more like run-trek-run-stagger. I've planned an "itinerary" that has me doing just over 50km a day. The biggest day is 60km, which I'm a little worried about, but I'm counting on all my experience with suffering in adventure races and long-arse trail runs in the Canadian rockies to pull me though. And my enjoyment of suffering, as well. I'll pick up food as I pass through towns. I'll sleep in a hut, or in my bivy if I don't make the hut by days end. I'm hoping to do it in 19 days. No record attempt, for sure, but certainly a good effort for a solo girl. I start on April 5th in Kalamunda. I'm hoping that said adventure will put me in good stead to keep up with tRicky for the aussie rogaine champs.

Wow. That'll do it for rogaine prep and then some ;) Good luck with it all!

fyi I met a thru walker in January around the Walpole region who said that parts of the southern section from Northcliffe south were flooded and there were more uncleared trees fallen over the path this year than normal.

With that prep you'll be able to eat tRicky for breakfast, not just keep up with him!

Great this is how her team-mates die then; cannibalism.

Andre - there were some really big storms around Northcliffe just before Christmas. It's probably all good by now (Boorara MTB circuit was unrideable in January too, but the KArri ride used it...)

That explains it, I was surprise to hear about the flooding in summer. April sounds like a perfect month to do it in - not too hot, not too wet or dark.
