Hi - I'm going to be in DC for a friend's wedding on the 24th/25th and another friend pointed out the runamuck race to me:

It might be a lot of fun for any orienteers in the area... and it could be a great time to attract some new people too. I figure that the same people who think it's fun to run 5k that includes obstacles and mud pits might also enjoy our sport :)

I'm not sure Pat is entirely correct. The 9:00 am race for individuals is sold out but it appears that the 12:00pm race, which I'm quite certain they declared a few weeks ago was costume optional, still has space.

I might have run this if it weren't for the CSU A meet.

I'm running in the 11am race with a friend. It might be a good place to see if we could put out some fliers about upcoming races in the area. I don't have these materials but could see if we could post something. let me know . . .

and the website did note that the second individual race was costume optional. and that the couples race means groups of two as rather than a requirement to be romantically involved:)
