Discussion: Looking to buy a thumb compass

if anyone is selling a Silva 6jet spectra or something similar to this. I live in the united states and do not know of where i can buy one of these. Please respond if you have any information.

I doubt too many owners of the Spectra want to part with theirs. However, I'm sure some of these guys would be happy to sell you a new one. I have heard recently that the Spectra will not be imported (perhaps imports have already stopped) so you may have to look for a vendor oversees.

Silva are pretty good on customer service. If you email them they'll gladly point to a re-seller or if unavailble have been known to send equipment in the mail direct from Scandinavia.

The JET is a quick settling compass so be particularly aware of the compass 'weighting' if buying from abroad; i.e Northern Hemisphere vs Southern etc

I have ordered orienteering stuff from Compass Point in the UK successfully, including a silva jet compass. It is easy to pay online too...
