Discussion: Tent recommendation for Mountain Marathon

Bash and I are doing a Mountain Marathon in Sweden.
A tent with floor is mandatory to carry along, so I'm looking into ultralight options. We are also doing a week of hiking beforehand, so if a tent can double up it would be ideal.
I found several options around 1.5 kg, but have no experience with them and would appreciate words of wisdom.

One idea is something like this OR Nighthaven with the optional floor:

Light, small, but not very comfortable.

Here's another 1200g 2-person optionhttp://www.tarptent.com/doublerainbow.html. This one looks more comfy.

And another cool looking ultralight from the same company

Another more expensive but comfortable option is the MSR carbon reflex:

I have a KIMM subkilo tent, perfect for a 2 day MM and so long as yas don't mind staying close all night.

More options here;

Northface Solo12

I have yet to test it in hell like weather conditions. It'd be fun to pitch it on the summit of Lug and see what happens. I attached on 2 guy lines just for piece of mind. As phiggins said- if theres two of ye, it'll be a little cosy. (1.1kg)

The Terra Nova Laser Light/Comp seems like a very common MM tent, but also sounds pretty miserable in the wet and hard to pitch. 1-1.2kg.
The Mountain Hardware AR sounds a bit nicer, but is 1.5kg.
I noticed that a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 is also 1.5kg, and is a "real" tent, much le$$ than the MSR.. http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PROD...

I'm leaning towards this or a 1.2kg Tarptent Double Rainbow or Squall http://www.tarptent.com/squall2.html at this point. Anyone ever try the latter?

A less-commercial ultra-lightweight tent (lighter than the TerraNova) from a couple of aeronautical engineers in New Hampshire: Stephenson.

I was talking to a MM'er in the lakelands a few weeks back and he said that the terra nova was a the lighest tent but it was a b***h to pitch and its one pole design made it unstable. Also the ground sheet only comes up a few mm so if the rain starts to come down hard or your on boggy terrain, you mightn't get the nicest nights sleep. Its for those that cut the handle off of their tooth brush, then drill holes in it!
Note that i have never used the terra nova, only passing on info from the guy that was selling them

Bash and Bent. Joany and I each have the Terra Nova Laser light. We bought them for a run that required carrying your own tent. In the end, we had to bail from the event and so have never used them, but if you'd be interested in giving them a boo, heck their just wastin' away in our basement. Worth a look I'd say.

Yowza, sounds like a plan- thanks!. I'll be glad to check them out, and see if pitching is as tricky as advertised. Would you 2 fit in 1 tent OK? Would you consider it for a 6-day trip before a race?

I've seen some soggy reviews of the Big Agnes, so I think it's out.

In my experience, terra nova tents are brilliant, though a little expensive. I've got the superlite solar 2.2, and a friend has the voyager superlite. Both are light and fully waterproof with excellent reviews.

'Bent,
I have the Tarptent Double Rainbow, and I really enjoy it. The two-sided entry (and two vestibles) is very nice when you have a companion. I highly recommend it.

Interesting... that's the one 'Bent currently likes the most after reading specs and user reviews.
