My daughter Brenna, 12, is considering coming with me to the Billygoat on Sunday, to serve as a babysitter to parents wishing to compete. She has her Red Cross Babysitter certification and sits for kids in the neighborhood. If you are interested in pursuing this with her, please email me at levitin (at) alum (dot) mit (dot) edu, and I will forward to Brenna.
Note: this is not organized by the DABSC, the host club, or anyone else; it's directly between the parents and Brenna.
My hope in pursuing this is that no eager parent will be forced to sit on the sideline while wishing s/he could do the 'goat.
That would be great if she can come. There is a covered pavilion at the registration/finish area that would serve well for babysitting. If noone does need her services, we can find something for her to help during the event.
Well, I'm an eager parent, and, unfortunately, my hamstring will probably force me to sit on the sideline wishing I could do the 'goat. So I can likely help with babysitting too.
