Even running it at the lowest setting it puts out a lot of light. My sense was that running with the Tesla at low power gives a bit more light than my old Silva halogen at 10 watts.
Was this a Fred recommendation, I noticed he was doing some selling of headlamps awhile ago...
Nope. Cristina had one at the Arizona rogaine I did with her and Barb in May and I was mighty impressed. It just took me 3 months to get around to getting one.
As Gail pointed out today, I have a birthday coming up, so I guess I've already got my present.... :-)
I didn't check with Fred.
Yes, $446 is indeed dear. Beth said "how did he find one so expensive?" I balked at anything over $200 June '07 for last rogaine w/ Sharon. It appeared desirable lights were high 3's. Well, 65th birthday ought to be worth a bit. Not something one would want to lose track of....
It must be fun to turn night O into day:-).
....and ruining your competitors' night-vision by giving them a blast of the high beams as you approach.
Cheap tesla copy from China

Some folks here have already ordered, let's wait and hear what they say.
I may have to crank up the current on the HatLamp (right now the LED is nowhere near its capability). I'll note that the batteries in this Chinese lamp are tha same as the ones that I scavenged from a dead laptop for the high beam of the HatLamp. Could be the same in the Tesla as well, I'll have to take a look next time I see Peter's
Well i ordered from dealextreme long back, i dont know where to track my order. So worried, i have to reorder my lamps from Chinabuye, its again an online shop from China. My order got delivered soon and rates are quite cheaper even they dont charge shipping cost. This is real good for people like me in India. They dont have MOQ limit. Quality of the lamps are good ofcourse. Paypal is mode of pay, so safe pay and easy ordering from them. At last my headlamps are at my hands!
