What a weekend - I wish I was there, but I think I'd be pretty smoked. You all did a lot of hard racing! Nice results, too - I was surprised to see Hannah ahead of you, but given all your thoughtful notes, I bet that could become a mutually beneficial (and hopefully friendly!) rivalry. That's a good thing. Watching only 5 ladies go to JWOC this year suggested that our national depth in the F18 to F20 range is on the weak side. On the other hand, watching you, Allison, Tori, and now Hannah race is inspiring to those of us who will never see those per/km times!

I hope you're enjoying a well-earned rest. You know, I would have gone through the swamp, too...just because it was there! ;-)

Thanks, Tori! It was really fun to race with Hannah and go over routes afterwards :-). And you're right, it's always awesome to have lots of good competition. I'm really excited for US Champs because it sounds like there'll be a lot of people coming :-).

Today's run was just a little frustrating because neither of us had super clean runs and some of the legs were more than a km long so I started to get sloppy toward the end right where it's important to slow down and go in carefully. But running an O' course always brings up ideas for areas to train, so in that sense it was a really productive weekend :-).

I gathered as much when I saw the M20 times - even so, there were some folks that were out there for a looooooong time, you obviously had something working. I'm actually a little envious - I like the challenge of finishing long events like that, just not usually back to back with a sprint and a middle.

I'll be cheering you all on virtually - sounds like fun!

(And if he doesn't get to go, Jordan may be, too...obviously we missed out on the fun this weekend since we're happily commenting on everyone's logs instead of doing homework (Jordan) or writing a book review (me). Go figure!)

We all miss seeing you at O' meets, Tori (and Jordan)! Best of luck with everything in the coming months.
