We were watching you on the web, and we were so proud of your finish in Stage 3! It shows that you belong there, competing with Canada's very best. Sorry about your bad luck in Stage 2, but you certainly weren't alone. It sounds like conditions were horrible - I'll bet several more teams could have stayed in the race if it were held in September.

Anyway, congratulations! You've come a long way from that basement in Milton.

Congrats on your 2nd finish on Stage 3. We were following online and it sounds like a crazy race. I can't wait to talk to someone in person and get the full story.

Good work out there Tiny. As you mentioned, I had the same issues with the aerial map used for nav. Didn't give enough detail for proper route selection. Folks on this board would tear it apart, but it's what we had to work with.

Good job in the races. Cool idea about the flight photo. These are used a lot in CIOR [ and the odd Raid the Hammer ;-) ]

Yes, big congrats on the suffer-fest. Makes for an interesting read. Tyson was OK after the long trek?

Thanks everyone.

Bent: Yeah he went to the hospital Wednesday night and they filled him with fluids and gave him some antibiotics. Looks like he had an infection in his legs, the drugs really cleared it up and by Thursday he was doing really well.

Tim: you mentioned going to the highest point in Ontario...is that Ishpatina Ridge? That would be quite a trek.

That's the one. Yeah I remembered your post a while back about the shape of the trail. When we were climbing it one of my teammates asked if I knew what the trail would be like. I simply choose not to answer the question. We did the trek at night, quite interesting.
