The current issue of ONA probably arrived in your mail box today. At this time of year you are used to seeing a Fund Drive appeal that includes the Endowment Fund. This year?s appeal focuses on USOF?s current needs and asks for contributions to the operating fund. Although the envelope does not list the Endowment Fund, donors still may choose to direct their donations to the Endowment Fund or to USOF restricted funds (like the team funds).

The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to provide a long-term financial foundation for USOF. The contributions are invested, and each year 4% of the EF value is transferred to the USOF operating fund. Contributions made to USOF are fully available for current program needs.

Thanks Martin-O for the post.

To add to your point, USOF donors have three choices: (1) Operating Fund, (2) Capital Campaign for Professional Staff Transition and (3) Other (please specify). If you want to donate to the Endowment Fund, the Senior Team, the Junior Team, the Trial O Team, the Ski O team or any other established program this is your place to do so.
