Note to Ken,

Mile to km conversion ...
1 mile = 1.609 km
(4 loops of a track + 9 meters)

I don't want those km-counting folks to have any advantage when it comes to counting miles :-)!

I noticed after running the Boston marathon in 2003 that you get a better deal for 42.195km than 26.2 miles...

oops, it looks like I was using 1.609 some places and 1.6 in others. (it's actually more like 1.609344) this is fixed now.

note that your entries are stored in whatever units you entered them, so the exact precision is not lost.

That's funny. I just noticed the 1.6-factor issue yesterday.
