JJ and others,

Just looking for reassurance that the date will absolutely, positively be Sunday, April 10. That date fits perfectly at the end of my school's spring break this year and I'm excited about running in the Billygoat for the very first time.

Plane fares from California are very reasonable now and I'd like to purchase my ticket soon, but not if there's any chance at all that the date will change. And on another note, if I fly into Hartford on Southwest (the fares and flight times are the best for me there, flying from Oakland), is it safe to assume that I'll end up close to the event site, even though it hasn't been determined yet?

Close enough to the event site. I and a few other dedicated 'goaters live close enough to the Hartford airport to pick you up.

That's the date. You never know whether the homeland security guys will decide that New England has to go on Orange Alert and make us postpone the event until December or something, but the date is firm, although the location isn't (yet). Hartford is a fine best bet for an airport, and you can probably swing some posh lodging neaby if you play your cards right. :-) It's definitely the best bet for the two possible venues im Massachusetts, and certainly fine for the Rhode Island possibility.

A reminder for all you Goats: postmark entry deadline to avoid late fee is Tuesday 29 March (i.e. tomorrow). Invitation can be found at http://www.billygoat.org/bg05invitation.html. (I gotta figure out how to turn that into a clickable link...)
