Dear US Orienteers,

I’d like to share with you a friends and family promotion of a recently launched sport drink, called Focus Zone by Amino Vital. It’s very likely that the brand is unfamiliar to you; I didn’t hear about it until I started working for the company. Briefly, Ajinomoto Co has been specializing in the manufacture of high quality amino acids that are used pretty much everywhere, from food to pharma to cosmetics to sports.
Amino Vital is a division of Ajinomoto that incorporates amino acids into sports nutrition. It has been a sponsor of the NY Yankees at some point. Focus Zone is a special product in a sense that it is meant to improve athlete’s mental focus on top of the usual physiological benefits, such as energy, recovery, etc. It should be a good match for Orienteers.
Here’s some research on amino acids (first link on the page would be most pertinent to athletes)
I don’t mean for this to be an advertisement of the product, I work for a different division and have no stakes in selling it. I do feel, however, that it could be of use to the Oing community. That’s why I’m extending the 30% discount offer. Go here and use promo code: 1101popova
Note: offer ends 03/31/2010 and it’s only for US residents.
Thanks.

It's always spam when it has to claim it isn't.

feet: a worthy question, and one I considered. Ultimately, I had decided that our caped crusader was going to allow a new champion to rise up out of the masses.

And I do believe that you are most likely to be his anointed successor.

However, if Ajinomoto grants the U.S. Teams some sponsorship bucks, I bet eddie and the posse will be overjoyed to try some of that sparkly juice thing, 30% off or not. What a better way to introduce a new product to a possibly receptive audience? Inquiries should be directed to Glen. Serious inquiries only.

I've tried without success.
They are willing to supply us with some prizes in the form of drinks for the Team Trials in May but that's it for now.

Yeah that's a good thing, more than nothing. Make sure Glen knows about it and has the necessary contacts. He may be able to do a much better negotiating job than an individual, a club, or the Team.
