The womens Mizuno Trail Wave Ascend 4....anyone have any comments/comparisons on this trail shoe? I run in Brookes Cascadias currently but curious what you think

I like them, they are lightweight-ish and good for most trails where you want a bit of cushioning (but I am not one for a squishy shoe at any time). They feel/fit a lot like the waves (mizuno's most prevalent road shoe), but with more tread. I have run in puma trailfox for more aggressive tread, as well as some new balance shoes (790?).

interesting...I used to run in Inov8s then tried the brookes after seeing a few racer reviews, the brookes are def cushy too...they look similar to me and seem light(er) not sure which is lightest I will look - on the ultras my feet thank me for the cushy tho!

I've find the Ascend 4's to be better for dirt roads than trails as my foot tends to slide around on sidehill terrain. Other than that they're great; good tread, support, weight.
