I think chances are pretty good that snow will be down to an inch or less by Saturday...

It gives him 50 points credit towards Sprint Cup USA, is not it, Peter?

I've got two guys going out there this afternoon to pound stakes in the ground so I'll try to post something more definite then. For now, I can only guess based on what I see around here (25 miles form the venue). Areas with proper exposure are dry, shaded areas still have snow cover (maybe an inch). We should get a lot of melt today (mostly sunny, 37), but iI think it's fair to say you'll still find some snow in places tomorrow. The good news is that tomorrow is supposed to get up to 42 with minimal wind, so there shouldn't be any ice problems. I've got some extra maps if you decide to join us.

No fair previewing the courses from the sky!

The area varies from bare to an inch, tho there are a handful of areas with more. I would describe it as "partly to mostly covered". Paths, roads, and parking lots, of course, are clear. There are occasional patches of ice, mostly on stairways, and occasional snowbanks from plows. Where possible, I have hid the bags behind unmapped snowmen, which means jockey for a late start, in case they melt. I expect the ground to be pretty soft tomorrow; the courses will be slower than I had hoped, but that is life.

In any case, the races still should be fun, and I hope y'all think so.

For those of you mystified by the last line of Swampfox's post, it merely makes it clear that he is still lurking on our local mailing list, trying to gain unauthorized access to top secret BAOC information. May the attack badgers have their way with you!
