Discussion: Feb 11-13 confirmed, including one WRE!

The Feb 11-13 weekend is now confirmed for the Sprint Camp.

The 2011 event will include one WRE sprint!

Website will be updated with schedule and more details in the next two months. Registration will probably open late October.

Good choice. Hope to see you there after five days at Whistler.

Thanks Canada! Given the general ineptness of U.S. organizers as far as WREs, it's wonderful to be always able to count on Canadians to give U.S. athletes the opportunity to continue to be ranked.

Congrats to Sprint Camp! to Magnus and CO.
I am 100% for it! I was planning to go, but now for sure.
I will jump forward, and predict that WRE will be one of the first races, so after WRE sprint, we (orienteers) can improve our Sprint skills.

One question to Magnus (pi): is Canada planning to have WRE at long courses?
This year all 3 WRE races (NAOC is not counting) are sprints.

The Middle at Brandywine (Whistler) was a WRE, so in 2010 there were two Sprints and one Middle. (One sprint is still to come at the GLOF in Hamilton)

For 2011, the final WRE schedule in Canada is still not confirmed. I hope there will be a Long WRE. Best chances are probably at the COCs in Whitehorse.

I believe the Whitehorse COCs will include a WRE long at Carcross Desert and a WRE middle at Lewes Lake but these are not yet confirmed.
