Orienteer Kansas is planning "live" internet coverage of the world's largest orienteering relay -- Venla and Jukola. So, if you're sitting at your computer on Saturday, June 17, take a look. OK's Jukola page is at:

Most of the coverage will be on the OK discussion page at:

Venla (4 leg women's event) begins at 8:15 a.m. (Kansas-time) and ends around 11:30. Jukola (7 leg men's event) begins at 4:00 p.m. and finishes a bit after midnight.
hey who's in for next year? come on, it will be fun, and I promise you can have a night leg if you want;)
I'd love to run Jukola again. I'd also love to have a night leg. I'm not sure where it is, but it usually doesn't have all that much night orienteering (compared to Tiomila). If anyone does put together a US Jukola team, I would give it some serious thought.
Hey Kenny, I'm in!! As long as I am not in some other random part of the world, i'll do it with you. It sounds like a ton of fun and I saw lots of Russian names close to the top of the results. :)
Speaking of which, say hi to Misha for me.
Being half Finnish myself, one of my life goals is to run in the Jukola one of these days... Having a young family at the moment, I don't know when that might be, but if folks are seriously thinking of putting a US Jukola team(s) together, please keep me in the loop, I just might bite.... It would be a good excuse to go visit relatives I've never met....
I would be interested in running.
Hey Kenny...i dont know where you are in your house....probally downstairs watching a movie, but I am in for the Julola...
