Was thinking of Prairie Mtn for a possible trip on sunday, but had 2nd thoughts after cold winds today. Icy at all ?

nope, just snowy. I would almost recommend snow shoes, except for the top ridge which has been blown clear. I had katoolahs on which were good, but at times, not enough to stop the sliding backwards. And the snow was shin deep in places. A worthy expedition.

i'm heading up toward powderface ridge today, on snowshoes, with ann thakkar. might see you out that way?
