I love the way you're jumping right in with a 50-miler! Maybe later in the season, you'll be ready for a 50K, then you can work your way up to a 25K next spring and maybe a 10K road race by the fall of 2012.

Your AR background will get you through this just fine. You have the smarts to handle your nutrition, hydration, feet, layers, etc., etc. Looking forward to the story!

Thanks Bash. There's a method to this madness, but basically I know I can do 50K. 50 miles that's a whole other question that I have to try to answer this weekend.

I understand. That's why I did the C2C 1-day event instead of racing 2 days over the same distance.

Tiny, looked at the course with M&M and it looks like a solid 50 miler with some definite walking due to the hills. The walking up hills will keep your energy efficient. You got your buddy with you, it will go by quickly
