How to do it.
I have donated, but I can only upload my GPS tracks. Does Ken need to enable it per user, or more donating is necessary for this feature.

If you can upload tracks, you have access to this. but it is only half-baked, so you have to construct your own links at the moment. you just add the map url in a "qr" parameter to the sessiondata page, e.g.

http://www.attackpoint.org/sessiondata.jsp?session...

This was added for the video stuff, but it does work without it. images need to be jpgs from QR 2.3 or later.

Does the jpg that is output from QR have position data embedded in it? How does Google Earth know where to place the image and how to orient it?

Yeah, QR embeds position data into the jpg. Attackpoint reads that and translates it to something Google Earth understands.

if you want to view the map overlay offline, QR can also export it directly to GE, it is one of the menu options.
