viktoria:
hey guys, so Zan and I have a challenge for you. Can you identify these attackpoint entries from popular training logs? names (clues) have been ** out, so as not to take all the fun away. Also, please don't identify yourself, so as not to take the fun away, either. This is fun, isn't it??

1. trail run 1:04:34 [3] skyline trail run! I haven't run this in a long time now. The leaves and rocks were a bit wet so the going was slower at times. It was also darkish by the end, so I couldn't run quite as fast as I might have for fear of not seeing some rock or stump and bending my ankle.

2. running 51:26 [2] ahr:149 shoes: Adi Star (white) After forgetting my shoes at home, making it impossible to go running over lunch, I was getting anxious while I was waiting in a traffic jam on my way home from work. I had a lot to do tonight, including packing for my trip to Sweden, cutting ****’s hair, and getting things *organized* before I leave. I am glad **** pushed me out the door for a run anyway.

3. Note Effected a turtle rescue when my sharp senses detected something amiss during my run. I left the trail I was on and peered over into a medium sized prospect pit nearby, which had vertical walls of about 3'. Down in the bottom of the pit were two box turtles. The two turtles had apparently been flirting with each other when one of them inadvertently backed over the edge of the pit, and fell into it. Turtles are creatures of great empathy and morality, and the other turtle, feeling guilty about what had transpired, deliberately backed over the edge too. Of course there was no chance they could have escaped the pit with those vertical walls, and they were doomed at that point, or at least they would have been had I not happened by. I lifted them to safety and pointed out that the pit had prominent signs around the edge warning of a sudden dropoff, and encouraged them to take those kind of cautionary signs more seriously in the future. But by that point they weren't having any of it, and had closed up their shells and were pretending to play turtle.

4. Running hills 1:12:00 [3] When I do overnight races, my favourite time of day is the first light of morning when you realize that you can just start to make out the trees, and you know that the warmth of sunrise will be coming shortly.
In real life, I like to sleep right through this time of day.

5. running 1:00 [3] Rest day. Went down "Bar Street" last night and got stuck into $2 margharitas. Gave some Poms shit about the cricket. Don't remember much after that, except for coming home in the back of the tuk-tuk and trying to do High Fives with people in tuk-tuks coming the other way.

6. erging (rowing machine) 1:10:00 [2]
2x35min
2:10.1
2:07.0
road 1:20:00 [2]
bicycle 1:00:00 [1]

7. Note
sick. i have winter vomiting disease...something similar to the norwalk virus. filip had it, hampus has it now. it last for about 1 or 2 days.
so, today was spent indoors sleeping all day long.

8. spinning 45:00 [3]
good times. "Intense" session. It was the same music, leader person, and workout as last time which was a bit disappointing... I was looking forward to another selection of pop music to amuse me :) But... good times anyway.

9. Trail Run long 1:27:51 [1] 11.3 mi (7:46 / mi) +150m 4:38 / km slept:7.0 shoes: Adidas a3 Prowl Some nice LSD on a brilliant, crisp Fall day. Ran out and back 45 minutes from the far side of the Rail Trail. Was a couple minutes fast on the way back because I was feeling quite good all of a sudden. Looking at the map though, it is slightly downhill for the last several miles. It's amazing how visible the trail is from the satellite imagery: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=570396

10. trail running 31:52 [3] shoes: Pegasus 2007
Had to do something before heading off to T Day dinner at the ****'s so I took a not too successful trip up to the power line and back.
Butt was still sore, so about halfway my left calf thought it would come to the rescue by diverting attention from my butt, and then about 3 minutes before the end I rolled my right ankle to try and take the stress off my left calf, and then by this time my butt was feeling much too ignored, so I slipped crossing a little wet spot about 100 yards from home and woke it up with a good yank.
Oh, and did I mention I was sweating profusely and feeling weak and like low blood sugar had me firmly in its grip?
But dinner was great, including 2 apple pies courtesy of ****!

11. 100% trails and roads 1:00:00 [2] 14.0 km (4:17 / km) shoes: Saucony Trigon 3 Guide First time since this summer that I had to use a headlamp for my evening training... fall is coming with big steps!

12. Running 13:15 [2] 1.56 mi (8:29 / mi) shoes: 2006-3 VJ Falcons Running from Blodstensvagen to Kung Bjorns Hill and back. Didn't actually do the course at KBH, since i've done it so many times now. Just walked around instead and sat on the hill, admiring the view and the sheep below.

13. Cycling (MTB) 4:31:00 [2] ahr:125 max:162 shoes: SH-M120B Cruise with Warlders out to Sparrow (80 mins), lap of Sparrow (100mins) then rolled on home via servo in queanbeyan for a coke and german car show in grevilea park (90mins). Good fun, especially single track (now over 35 km with the new heavy cow loop). Felt pretty tired but.

14. Note Last day! I wish I knew how to express my enthusiasm with something other than exclamation points! Wuhu! (!)
There was a snafu at my final, last, ultimate outprocessing stop, so now I'm stuck here for another couple of hours while they figure it out... so I'm not sure that I'll make the border before dark! It would be a shame not to actually be able to *see* the border as I cross it.
I'd been thinking that my attitude about Texas was very negative and that that's not typical for me. So I thought I'd write a list of the good and bad things about being here (in San Antonio in particular), to have a more realistic perspective.
Bad:
-flat
-covered in concrete
-hot+humid
-lack of activities
-ridiculously large hats
-ridiculously large churches filled with mean people
-ridiculously large... people
-far from everything
-hot+humid
Good:
-Austin

15. bike 3:15:00 [3]* 53.0 km (3:40 / km)
(injured) (sick) shoes: Addidas MTB ride from batsto A meet location to hotel in Mt laurel. the first 17km was on sandy double track. very slow at times and off the bike quite a bit. submerged trail became so consistent that I decided to just get wet and ride them. the map was quite accurate and I had little problem following along. saw several 4x's having fun in the mud. so the first 17km took 1hour 45 min. the next 35km took 1.5 hours. little lost at the end without a map, but people offered up decent directions when I asked.

In order of how sure I am... 7 is viktoria, 9 is jfrederickson, and 10 is PG. I think 12 is BorisGr but it's not impossible that it's someone else from Uppsala. 13 is indeed shep, 14 is Cristina, and 15 is Joe. 1 is Samantha, maybe? and 3 is definitely Swampfox. 5 might be liggo? and 4 might be Bash? and could 8 be Zan? and to complete a set of guesses, maybe 6 is Hillary and 8 is Spike?

#11 could be swisscheese, if you are running 1h at 6.30minute/mile pace and log it as intensity 2...geez

My guesses, before I cave and use the search function:
1 Sam, 2 Sandra, 3 Swampfox, 4 ?, 5 ?, 6, Hillary, 7 Viktoria, 8 Zan, 9 jfredrickson, 10 PG, 11 Swisscheese?, 12 Boris?, 13 ?, 14 Someone very gifted with words, 15 Joe

Fun! Or sad because I actually specifically remembered reading many of them, even if I couldn't remember who wrote it...

Hmm, seems I definitely spend too much time on AP...
Found this quiz a bit late - never had time to post my answers - but could get 9 out of 15 out of memory since I have read them and recognize a lot of detail.
