Have an open mind, you might enjoy being swung and thrusted, Miss Bee.

Re "thrusters": isn't that usually called "clean and jerk"?

C&J is a different move. It has two parts. The first brings the bar to the shoulder, while on the second there is a dip and a drive to get the bar moving up and get under the bar, finally standing when it is already overhead. A much more complex move than the thruster.

On the thruster you start with the bar on the shoulders, do a full front squat and drive the bar up with the force of your legs as you are standing, then return it to the shoulders for the next repetition.

Fascinating videos. My hernia winces just watching that move. Then the girl just drops those plates from 4' up, onto that nice looking concrete pad. Ouch! The whole sequence looks dangerous, to both property and personnel.

The plates are made of rubber. No harm done. Dropping them is easier on the body than letting them down gently.
