Orienteering World and World of O are running a Best of Orienteering 2006 poll.

Best orienteering achievement 2006, and
Junior of the Year.

Hanny is eligible for both, so make sure you vote!!!! The Europeans outnumber us a bit so make SURE you vote!

Vote for Hanny!

The awards won't have any credibility if Hanny doesn't win the junior orienteer of the year award

They won't have any credibility if she doesn't win senior orienteer of the year

I voted for Hanny because I reckon her winning the WOC gold was the top "orienteering achievment of the year."
To be honest (and with all due respect), I think orienteer of the year would be a bit tougher to pick.

No, she's gotta be orienteer of the year. Actually orienteer of the century. Did you know she's actually blind in one eye, overcame polio and dengue fever as a child, and was run over by a steam train in April this year and was therefore only able to do mental training pre-WOC. Not to mention that she's won a Nobel peace prize and saved an entire species of rare Tasmanian mollusc from extinction

yeah but i dont think she should win because she hasnt represented norway in cross country skiing, reading some of the nominations for junior "orienteer" of the year this seems to be just as important as orienteering achievements. maybe ricky ponting should win for regaining the ashes, it seems just as relevant to me.
