A big yes to the cold induced watery vision. It throws off my game because it makes me feel quite frantic to be constantly blinking and hoping that I'm going the right direction.
I don't often look at your log, but had to comment - as I've gotten older, this is a huge problem, and not just when it's cold. Have talked to doctors, researched, tried various things (I guess goggles might help, but I won't go that far). Seems the viscosity of tears often deteriorates with age. Rest assured, it will probably get worse!
I've been tearing up in cold weather since I was a kid, and it is definitely related to intensity. Strangely, I don't notice it skiing - maybe because I frequently wear sunglasses?
