Discussion: 6 to 7

Course 7 had the the same leg, and everyone I talked to went straight, just like you did. They also all complained about how tough it was.

You really can't call this bad orienteering on your part. It's really just unlucky, or one could argue, a bit unfair.

thanks! i agree that sometimes it's hard to tell how bad the footing can be in a particular spot, it was a bad combination of the steep hill and thick underbrush. I'm not too upset about it, Matthew had a pretty clean run and he's faster than me right now, so even if this one leg had gone better he still would've had me. Just another few tidbits of experience to take in before interscholastics.
