Discussion: Nordic race there tonight (2007-01-25)

Rachael is at mount pittsford for a nordic race (3.2k) tonight and I should be there with her. (bringing my skis)

Nate was there, too. Since he has only been on classic skis once in his life, he and the coach decided not to enter him, so he just cruised around on his own.

Were they sprint races? I almost stopped by to see if they groomed the new snow, but there really didn't seem to be much out that way. I had 10 inches this morning, and just shoveled another 3 inches.

Varsity 2 loops (3.2k), JV 1. There were 2 acceptable tracks, but they start them in groups of 4 or so. I think by the time they were done the course was not so hot.

Looks like more snow was dropped north of the 490/590 intersection.

Back in the day, we had staggered starts...-) I had explained to Rachael how the wand works and all that, and then when we saw them lining up I said "just forget all that"-)

I also remember going well into the dark before it was all done...
