Well done on getting a full house! I'll think about how tiring that is while I'm lie on my sofa watching it on the internet! Have fun.
Nice one Claire. Good job you're super fit. I 'only' ran long and middle in 2003 and it killed me.
congratulations Claire.
I'd think seriously about whether all 4 is the best thing for YOU though.
I asked to do all 3 individual races, and then if on the rest day between the long final and the relay i was feeling good i would like to do the relay. In the end the relay team was selected in advance. Fine. if i don't think i can run to my best in the relay, i will say so.
I felt better and better as the 6 hard races in 6 days of eoc went on, and woc has a much better layout. My initial priority was for sprint & long. This works well, but for me 3 rest days is way too long - much much harder to prepare for psychologically. I prefer to get into a rythym and stay in a rythym. too much time to mull things over is deadly for me. I have a lot ro learn from running the middle, and in a way am looking forward to it more than the sprint & the long. It takes such intense focus, and i have so much respect for people that perform well at it. i was able to orienteer at eoc with that level of concentration for the majority of the courses. i look forward to seeing if i can replicate it at woc. I could have left the middle for another year, but toni might not be around helping next year, and i'm not sure anyone else could get such a disciplined performance out of me.
you know what you are doing and why
that's good enough for me
just wanted to be sure it was your choice.
enjoy
He might not be around? Because he's moving on or because the fundings not there? Either way would be sad.
Can't wait to see you go at WOC!
Toni is leaving edinburgh in august and we are not sure what will happen to his bof job either. Boo!
Oh man, that's rubbish. Still, I have faith in what you can do without him!
