I've done the Mayor's Cup a couple of times and I think it's a great race.
This year it clashes with the Framingham Busa Bushwhack trail race, though. That was a thoroughly awesome event last year and I'm planning on doing it again. Can I convince you? I mean, 5km and 5.3miles are almost the same thing.

It also clashes with an uphill rollerski race. Tempting to do the Mayor's cup, though. I'd like another 5k this fall...

stephen, i know Her Majesty's subjects, current and former, have some hybrid metric/imperial (imperial!) system going on, but that's just sad. 5.3 of the miles are at least 6000 of your 'meters'. maybe even more.
alex, roller skiing uphill sounds way more fun. that was meant to sound sarcastic, but i can kind of see the appeal. but i see more appeal in a huge, classic x-c 5k.
i think i need to rustle up a singlet for maximum nostalgia
