I usually delete product advertisements sent to me but this app might resonate with AP folks who generally are spread geographically but with help of this app I could have competitive training sessions against anyone and anywhere.

"...i want to stick my nose in and let any of you who use an iphone know about an opportunity to beta test a new running app. i do some freelance for this company so i can tell you that it's totally legit and there is no catch. the app, Sociercise , will have a host of features - replacing your GPS watch and your dailymile account by keeping track of your workouts and stats etc. but the really neat thing about it is that it enables 2 or more runners who are using the app to race each other live in real time. so if i have it and my pal in buffalo has it, we can workout simultaneously and the app will tell us who is in the lead, by how much etc. you will also be able to "race" against your own saved workouts or workouts other public users have saved, like a sports star or celebrity. it can even do this on a treadmill...and this is where the beta tests are needed. if you use a treadmill every so often and have an iphone, the guys at Sociercise are looking for a bunch of runners to test the function. once everything is ship shape you will be the first to receive the fully enabled app. if you are interested: Users can sign up for the test by visiting http://www.sociercise.com/beta-testing/ or emailing the co-creator Bobby Valentine at bobby@sociercise.com"
