Hi all,
As part of the new junior development program I am trying to get more training camps going. The goal for the spring is to do three weekends of training camps. March 2-3, April 5-7, may 24-26. The goal is to have at least 3 training camps on the same weekend around the US. I was thinking west coast, central and east coast, but if more people are interested the better. It would not have to be a whole weekend, but the idea would be that it would be open to anyone at any level. If you are interested please let me know. I am happy to coordinate and come up with training's if need be. Please let me know, as always Canada is always welcome.

Good timing - I just added this one to the schedule. April 14th. Giacomo is in charge. We talked about possibilities to make it a 2-day camp, and could definitely expand if there were interest. It's not junior-specific, rather open to anyone who wants to come, but hopefully that won't pose a problem.

Also don't forget that there is TJOC that happens for a week in north texas. I think it is still around

April 5-7 is the Flying Pig 3-day A-event -- and the last event in the 2013 JWOC Selection Period.
(edited) April 14 is not Easter Sunday

Erin, The weekend of March 2-3 could be a problem on the east coast depending the winter we are having. Of course the southern state could do it at that time without to much problems. the Blue Mtn. Camp has traditional be between the last 2 weeks of March and the first 2 weeks of April and generally the weather has been fine. something to think about will planning. ( For those of you thinking I'm planning a Blue Mtn. Camp., NO just sharing my knowledge for what it is worth)

Erin, both my boys (one M12 & one just moving into M-16) will probably be interested in northeast training camps next spring if the dates aren't conflicted. If so, then I'm happy to provide support assistance as necessary.

I'm sure we can come up with a number of juniors interested in a two day camp in Minnesota/Wisconsin, we can travel a bit if need be (no more than 5-6 hours).
Curious: why are you planning for 3 camps in different areas on the same weekend?

The goal for 3 camps or more is to make them available to juniors and people all around the country. If we only do a camp on the east coast its hard for the west coast and central. There are enough people around and willing to help to have three camps at once if they are interested. It also gets going a regular training schedule that people can rely on.

The idea for 3 camps on the same weekend is that most are planed just before an A meet, so its good preparation for the meet, but we are not tied down to the idea
