Discussion: chess + running

Seems like running + chess would equal orienteering.

Fun Fact: the origin of the checkerboard design with the Orienteer Kansas jerseys is because the design is used both in racing (checkered flag) and in thinking games (chess). The color pink is used because it was a color used by the old KU track & field teams (1951-2001, which means it was worn by Jim Ryun and Wes Santee). Now all KU sports wear a standard "crimson and blue" across all sports. No more pink. :-(

haha it's no accident i got into orienteering with my chess & running background. loving those pink shorts, it's a bummer more teams don't use the color.
