dude, nice ride. It was a tough slog to move up from the back...I jumped in beside Bill Loggie but still deep in the second wave...40+ secs until we crossed the start line. This race is all about getting with the lead or second group immediately, and sticking to them through the first climb, single track section. Then the pace settles down and things become more reasonable.
I was trashed just after the final mudslide and Bill caught me at that point. He passed me on the climb when I faded like a red shirt in the sun...painful.
How were the cramps?
No cramping, just sore legs. Yeah I saw you at the start just hoping the fence, pushing people aside to make room for yourself up ahead of me.
I know, did you see me elbow that chick? Didn't she know who I was? Stupid.
If you like the P2A, you need to race the Lake to Lake in June...great race, super fast, and really fun.
