was shorter than you quoted after the race. that number looks closer to ours. I will get the exact distance later.
That is AWESOME! Well done Greg.
my team mate got stung my bees and yellowjackets in two separate events, for a total of 7 stings
Polar site culculated 92 km, while GPS sensor was on (~21 hours out of 22:50), Quick rout measured 97 km, Attackpoing tool measured 84 km from same data. I will use measuring wheel as well to see the right answer. I think we covered very close to 100 km in 20.5 hours of moving time, taking in consideration some extra distance in errors.
I saw the GPS track on the map you posted, and noticed some searching at 46 and 49. We had trouble finding 46 in the dark because we walked the creek bed and the lights didn't shine on the control and reflector 3-4 meters above us. Eventually we found it an hour later at daybreak. In 49, we found the edge of the evergreen forest, but when we eventually found the control, it seemed that there was a separate small group of evergreen trees that was used instead. Did you overshoot 76? that was a slow-moving terrain...
46 was in the right spot, we just missed it by ~50 meters low and made wrong decision, 49 was placed 3 contours higher then mapped, 76 we went just above the control, did not see the flag and kept going, our mistake, 30 was on a different feature, 100 meters south of the circle, the rest of controls were fine.
