Detailed information regarding the
2014 JWOC Selection Races has been posted.
As preliminarily announced in October, the Races will happen in conjunction with
Get Lost!!'s
Run Black Diamond A-event planned for March 21-23, near Concord, California. This event will probably also serve as the WOC Team Trials.

Guy,
I was wondering which of the 2014 meets will count toward the JWOC rankings.
The selection rules state:
"The 2014 JWOC Rankings will include F-20 and M-20 courses for all Orienteering USA-sanctioned races beginning on April 25, 2013, and ending with the last sanctioned race prior to the announced JWOC Selection Races. They will also include the Interscholastic Championships Varsity courses (ISVF, ISVM), and the Intercollegiate Championships Varsity courses (ICVF, ICVM)."
If I am interpreting that correctly, the 2014 races that will count are the GA Nav Cup M/F-20, the ISVF and ISVM at the Flying Pig (4/4) and the ICVF and ICVM at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships and U.S. Relay Championships (4/26)
Is my understanding correct?
BTW, I originally sent the question to the Feedback Form (on Monday). I did not get a response.
The Flying Pig / IS races will be the last ones counting for 2014 JWOC selection rankings. When the criteria -- which are not part of the OUSA Rules of Competition -- were written, we did not anticipate the Selection Races happening in March.
Also, regarding IS/IC, the criteria were restating the Rules regarding JWOC Rankings, in terms of including ISVF/M and ICVF/M. It was not an event-specific provision. Because of the timing of the IC Champs in 2013 and 2104, unfortunately, no IC races will be included in the 2014 JWOC Rankings.
For the Flying Pig, is it only the IS races or will M-20 also be included?
Also, the M/F-20 races count at any event within the ranking period, so The Flying Pig/IS Champs will rank the ISVF/M and the M/F-20 as M/F-20 in the Junior rankings.
Indeed, both ISVF/M and F/M-20 will be included in JWOC rankings -- albeit as separate courses (on which they will be).
Where do we find out what our rankings are? (M-20)
