We just got back to the US after a very enjoyable time at the Scottish 6-Day O fest in Royal Deeside. Most notable among the US results was Leif Anderson's 1st place finish overall in M21L (out of 59 in the class). Congrats, Leif!

Other US orienteers that we saw over there this year included Penny and Harold DeMoss, Betsy and George Hawes, Randy Hall, Barb Bryant and Dave Yee, Bob Lux, Rob Wilkison, and Ed Hicks. If you've never been to this week-long event before, consider going in 2007 when the races will be held in the Grampian Mountains. The races are very well organized, with great vendors, bike and sprint events, and social activities to round out the week.

Awesome Leif! That is a tremendous result. Watch out in Denmark 2006.

You can get some good beer and Whisky in Scotland too.

Great job, Leif. M21L is not short on good competitors - most of the top ones would also do quite well in Elite.
