Hard as it may be to believe, Boris has spent all of Friday and a Friday evening, a time when he would normally be either training or partying (or possibly studying?), updating the Sprint Standings.

Thank you. But what happened to the Eliminator sprints?

(3 x 30, tripleheader) The Eliminator Sprints, Rattlesnake Point and Mt. Nemo, near Milton, ON, Saturday, March 24.

Here was the problem (in the words of Boris) --

Yeah, no one goes to the same controls: they have age and gender handicaps, so some people run more controls, others fewer. Moreover, they have boxes (i think), where you choose the order you go to controls in. I know we are flexible in what we allow as a sprint, but this seemed a bit too far out there.

So I said skip it.

Is there a way to after the fact get a set of results with everyone running the same course? It didn't seem like it. We can even handle a score-O sprint, everyone still has the same course. But a handicap one?

How about the Eastern Canadian Champs sprints in Ottawa? Can we add those to the list? They were a "normal" forest sprint, decent field (especially women). No boxes, handicaps, or forking (yadayadayada...).

The Commissioner is being extraordinarily lenient this year with the 20-year rule. In fact, the latest update did included results from a sprint that only made it to the schedule after the fact (FWOC sprint series #1).

So send the results, and if the High Priest of the Standings (Boris) is willing, we'll add them. Because that sprint was totally legit.

I hope you mean the 20-day rule, becayse most clubs don't plan their schedules 20 years in advance. :)

Years, days, whatever, you know what I mean..... :-)

I was wondering about this too, actually. I can also speak to the coolness/legitness of the ECC sprint. It did me in, but Erin had a great run there as did an impressive, young Canadian woman(Kemp). Despite my own short comings I thought it was one of the best sprint courses I've run on.

Hey, if someone sends me the results, I'll add them, but you guys can't expect us to know about every sprint going on out there without someone notifying the Commissioner.

Nielsen:
I beg to differ.

Very cute. In this case, it's all PG's fault. :)

PG:
Whoa, that is a high standard. I wonder if my peers in the other major sports know about that.

It looks like results are here: http://www.ottawaoc.ca/20070519_SprintResults.html.

Where's the map?

Seems you didn't get the results of the Central Park sprint. I have to poke the result people, since the regualr results are up, but not the sprint (I want my points...)

Just got them from Ed Hicks. Will be added in the next update.
