Discussion: SI Raw data

Is it possible to connect to the SI Master (over USB or Serial) by simply sending commands through a terminal emulator like Putty or HyperTerminal, similar to communicating with a modem?

The protocol is binary, not text, so typing in commands ins't really possible. You can write software the talks to the stations. You need to get the PC Programmers guide from SportIdent that documents most of the protocol. I think you just have to register on their developer zone to get access to it.
