Awards will be presented at the nearest occasion.

Look at the North American Orienteering League Web Site.
Link to the elite photos is availble.

I would greatly appreciate your comments on goals, rules, and selected events.

I will try to add to the photo gallery.

I have two comments:One,the photo above John F. name,is actualy Patrick Shannon from the same club(HVO) as John.
Two:If only 60-70% of the proposed events is going to be used for 2003,there are going to be probably only a handfull that will even participate at 60-70% of the named events.Last year looked much better with 15 event, wich I think it would be a optimal #.

Thanks Sergey. Elite orienteers in Canada are discussing this NAOL concept at this very time. We were left out of discussions last year - but then again it was called 'American O League' ;-)
I will pass on our collective Canuck thoughts shortly. Personally, I like the fewer events idea (best 4 of 7?) If we have too many events it awards the people that can travel more. Having al NAOL that adopts the National Championships is a great idea for building a much needed Canada-US rivalry. Is there any way to add perhaps 1 US vs. Canada relay into an overall country competition here? Aug. 20 (2 days before Cdn. short champs) a relay is scheduled.

What about the relay at the US Team Trials, Memorial Day Week-end at Harriman?

The relay idea sounds good,if we are talking regular IOF format :Elite M & Elite women, with 4-5 teams(or more )from each country.

There is a call to include USA Team Trails May 24-25 into the schedule.

Mike W., I remember your idea about including your club Fall competition. Could you provide more information so I can potentially include it into the schedule as a counter balance to all USA events. Any other potential Canadian events that the respectful Canadian team wants to include?

The main idea of the NAOL is to motivate elites to travel and compete more.

I like the idea of relays. In this case we need to establish some kind of point system. I will gladly incorporate it into NAOL.

Mihai, Thank you for the correction! I put name of Patrick under the photo.

All, I'll try to add to the gallery so be always beatuful and handsome :) I also plan to put short bios for each so be prepared.

I hope we will have more than 10 events and count at least 6-7 toward the final score.

Cheers,
Sergey
