And announced today - it's possibly happening in 2021,
but has been postponed to August 21-22.

Well that at least means there may be a leg or two in the dark which is always a good thing.
Was really looking forward to this, but cant make the new date :(

So instead of no darkness, it’s (almost) all darkness?!
I’m as keen as anyone to restart orienteering and think ‘normal’ events in the summer should hopefully be manageable with spread out start times and a ‘come-run-leave’ approach.
But Jukola I think they should have postponed by another year. The very point of it is to be socially undistanced, so even if they come up with a plan it won’t be much fun.
Jim are you saying you could have made it there in June?
The twilight zone Jukola.
@tRicky. No. Just pointing out that I cant make it at all. If only they would hold it of until 2022
Well it tends to be an annual event.
Ricky - Jim was hoping to run Jukola twice in 22.

How many dark legs will depend on what time they start and format.
Eg start at midnight, 75min first and second legs, then 'long night' leg (1h 45min) That puts the leading teams' 4th runner out at 4.15. Most teams would have their 4th leg starting in daylight.
Perhaps given the circumstances the focus will be more on the elite side rather than mass participation???
