The British Orienteering Championships 2016 will be held on Brown Clee, the Burwarton Estate and Clee Hill common land, known as Clee Liberty. The Long Distance race will be part of the UK Orienteering League. Walton Chasers will be holding an urban race at Tamworth to provide a full weekend of quality orienteering.

The Burwarton Estate is located in Shropshire between Ludlow and Bridgnorth. The Estate comprises 11,000 acres in the vicinity of the Brown Clee Hill which, at 540m, is the highest point in the county. Part of the Estate lies within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
