The course begins in the heart of the Village of Radium Hot Springs at the Visitor Info Centre, commencing at 10:00 am. It proceeds into Kootenay National Park following the Juniper Trail, which switchbacks to the top of Sinclair Canyon. Along this stretch runners will experience commanding views of the Columbia Valley and Columbia River Wetlands. The course then drops down to the Radium Hot Springs Mineral Pools and the race?s first water/aid station. Continue running from the mineral pools along the southern rim of Sinclair Canyon to the Redstreak Campground. Another uphill challenge awaits, taking you on the Redstreak Loop Trail, down through the campground to the viewpoint overlooking the Village of Radium Hot Springs, the Columbia Valley and the Purcell Mountains to the west. Your mind and body will be relieved to hit the last leg of the run, a short downhill to the finish at the Visitor Info Centre.
