The Up North Orienteers' annual weekend-after-Labor-Day camping weekend of low-key but high-quality orienteering is (tentatively) back on the schedule in 2021 after a pandemic year off.
Details to be determined but generally includes a full set of regular orienteering courses (White through Blue) both Saturday and Sunday, a fun social experience with group camping and a pot-luck dinner, canoe-O, a long difficult night-O for the experts and a fun night-O variation called Vampire-O for the kids and newbies.
The venue is Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, N.H., USA, with excellent terrain (complex topography and more, bigger boulders than almost anywhere) and an excellent map first used for a 1992 Orienteering World Cup event (that was a prelude to the 1993 World Orienteering Championships).
